20th Anniversary – August 1, 2012
We are celebrating our 20th anniversary with a backpacking adventure through Italy, Greece & Turkey. We decided to embark on this adventure without any itinerary. We have our airline tickets, but that’s pretty much it. We will arrive in Venice, Italy on May 25th and depart from Istanbul, Turkey on June 14th. Everything in between will be unplanned.

You are going to love your time in Italy. The food is great and you will love the wine. Enjoy the history and all of the wonderful views. Getting lost in Venice is part of the adventure. If you are going to go to the Cinque Terra, spend a night in Vernazza. There is a small restaurant on the edge of town after you get off the train that has wonderful pastries. Try the lasagna for dinner, it is awesome. If you have the time, take the walking paths between the 5 towns that make up the Cinque Terra.

Dale’s wondering when Steve started drinking wine?? 🙂 Pictures look awesome. My mom is here right now and she did the same hike between cities about 7 years ago. She said it’s beautiful and the trails are pretty treacherous. Have fun.
